Today we are doing a cooking class here at the Inn. At breakfast the group that will be doing the cooking said they would save samples of the desserts for the rest of the house. How sweet is that?

Snow shoe that is. One of our guest brought their snowshoes and are off to walk the Allegan County Forest. What a great day to do that! The snow from the other night and now flurries are in the air.
A few days ago we had 15 inches of snow here. Amazingly and beautiful!
Then some warm weather came and made our snow dirty BUT low and behold last night a fresh, clean 3 or 4 inches fell and we are beautiful again!
If you look out of any window here at the Inn all you will see is white. A beautiful blanket of snow is on the ground and soft flakes have been falling all day. All the we have missed out of this year with warm weather is being made up for today. What a great day to read a book in the parlor and sip on hot tea!
When you stay at the Inn it’s not about the weather but it’s about being together. Even though there is no snow, there is lots to do when you are with the one you love. We took a short trip into South Haven today, looked at the water, and then took a few back roads home. The sun was shinning and the conversation was good. What a enjoyable afternoon. Sweet and Simple.
The sun has been shinning here at the Inn for the past two days. Nothing picks up one’s spirits like a good dose of sun in the middle of winter!
People are finding that the Inn is a perfect place to spend a few days together for their honeymoon. We can be very private place to spend your 1st honeymoon or even as your 2nd honeymoon!
If you look on our website you will see beautiful winter pictures…..with the wonderful snow we got last night, the Inn looks exactly like that today!
Here at the Inn our guests have been taking their time to enjoy the decorations in Saugatuck and Holland, reading books and most importantly taking time to enjoy being with each other.
Last night we had a “building a gingerbread house” class. The couples here built original, not the “cookie cutter” gingerbread houses. There was lots of fun, laugher and creativity was going on. We put the houses around the front table this morning and it was an amazing looking village. Watch for the next cooking classes that are coming up .
